Luther - THE FALLEN SUN Movie Ending Explained In 2023

After being away from our screens for nearly four years, Luthor has hit the big screen and Netflix as well with this latest installment, a feature-length film titled Falling Sun, which features Luthor essentially  Arrested for taking the law into his own hands and carrying it out.  His actions when he was a DCI, now behind bars we saw him on the run and trying to take down a criminal who had escaped his capture when he was an officer I thought this movie provided a great timeline, so let's recap the breakdown with that and explain what this movie has to do with,

There was a serial killer who was essentially blackmailing people into doing things for him, even to the point of dying to get information about being able to tap into his system.  and was getting information that inevitably made them afraid.  It was much more revealing than death coming towards them, they manipulated them to the point where they would rather die than have them, Luthor was behind bars because of killer David Robey, who  Andy was played by Circus.  get in and out of it 

There in the public eye which eventually resulted in his arrest after hearing a message that was broadcast from David to him via radio signal, he worked with someone outside to get him out of prison and then did the same.  was doing what he was arrested for taking the law into his own hands and working to find out

The killer of Callum and everyone else which David claimed was something he promised Callum's mother that he would do. We got a cool fight scene that was happening inside the prison and we saw how at this moment Luthor was fighting the officers.  was fighting and other inmates but you can also see that he was fighting for his freedom as the episode went on we saw Luthor working with DCI lane who was handling the case he was communicating with and Was getting it done

Luther and himself and the police force were originally trying to get Luther back into custody, however, he was making more progress with the David case, so much so that once David took DCI Lane's daughter He was threatening to kill both of them.  They worked together to track down David, which they did successfully in a remote location in Norway Let's take a closer look at David So David was a sadistic serial killer who was killing people for pleasure

It was disturbing to see how many people he had killed, there were about eight missing people he murdered back in the mid-2000s that were found in the opening scene, but we also saw that there were countless people that this was a horrifying scene under the snow in Norway and you could see that the circus character had just pure evil behind his eyes, we also learned that he burned his wife up to that point where she was within an inch of him.  Life-threatening to reveal what he had done many years ago he planned to do a live broadcast where people were able to vote on who should be harmed so he was doing it

For entertainment purposes and also for the pleasure of other people but why David was doing all the killings well David was doing all the killings because he had something he wanted to hide he was hiding the person he liking all the people he was harming, he had a secret but no one was exposing it but it was his wife who exposed it to Luthor and DCI Lane when they asked her  went to visit and we saw that he ran away

Because he couldn't listen to Luthor, hearing how he was being called a weak pathetic man, we finally see Luthor follow him to the room they were locked in and destroy all the evidence. The fire was put out but in the fight, he was inside the car we saw that when David tried to escape he got trapped under the snow and died while all his victims were around him, this is for the character surrounded by all those people  A fitting ending was that he was harmed as he could see the surface but was unable to reach Luthor at that moment

managed to open the door via phone and DCI Lane and his daughter managed to escape at the end of the movie, we saw that even though Luthor survived and we were led to believe he was going back to prison, it turns out he was actually  While I was being kept in a safe house and had a job offer waiting for him, there was a man called the Chief who wanted to meet David because of his extraordinary work in tracking him down.

We never got to see who the chief was, but there were some theories surrounding that it may have happened to him that it was a news broadcast to the public that Luthor suffered life-threatening injuries, to be discovered later.  He died due to the dispute.  He wasn't in jail all that much and I think if he didn't go to jail for the crimes he committed there would probably be an uproar which would ultimately undermine the justice system so with him potentially being presumed dead we  Can see Luther entering a new field of work

He could potentially become an undercover detective, had Luthor been arrested for taking his functions of being a vigilante into his own hands and trying to go under the radar, with this new role he could potentially allow him to use his best skills and assets.  for their benefit it's something I'm open to seeing well translated case was great The well-developed villain portrayed by Andy Sircus was disturbing to watch to hear and try to get inside his mind and the runtime did it in a good way  volume pacing enabled

At its core the film was about two things, the fear of being exposed more than death, which we saw was present within most of the victims and even Archie, which we never found David  What did he have because he took him to the grave and then there was the focus on Luthor's side which was about doing good but doing good in the wrong way. Luthor is a good person at his core and we saw that he was more willing to die for the greater good than one is always willing to do with DCI Lane also states that Luthor was a good person,

 but how he did bad things shows the opposite of how he was the only one does what it feels is right, I was a fan of this movie and I would be open to there being more.  Arguably being a standalone film it felt like there was a bit more at stake as the runtime was a bit short, the CGI was a bit off-putting at points and looked a bit cheap but I can look past that when the rest of the story is engaging and  Proved was Andy Circus took on a case in this movie that was interesting to watch develop and I think whatever project he gets involved in he always plays his part as the serial killer completely changes his facial expression  And used to express his behavior.  

Pure Evil Idris Elba got back into character very well and it was like he never went away and Cynthia Rarivo played her part well too, this is one of those movies you have to go to the cinema to see  Not required because it's not going to give you an amazing visual and audio experience but putting it on Netflix is ​​not a waste of two hours because the story and the performances are there I hope I fall within the umbrella of Luther  looking forward to seeing more movies so you have this Luthor the fallen son ending explained
