On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the team behind 'Adipurush' announced the movie's latest release date through social media. Initially expected to be released on August 11, it will now grace the screens on January 12, 2023. This highly anticipated film will mark the first major release of the year. Prabhas will portray Lord Ram, while Saif Ali Khan will embody the character of Raavan. Kriti Sanon will portray Sita, and Sunny Singh will take on the role of Laxman. Kriti Sanon shared the new release date of the movie on her Instagram handle, stating, "Worldwide Theatrical Release in 3D on January 12th, 2023."

The highly anticipated trailer for Adipurush, the epic movie featuring Prabhas, has been released, garnering much excitement. The upcoming Indian Hindu film based on the epic Ramayana, released in 2019, is a magnificent production. Prabhas portrays Adi Purusha, Kriti Sanon portrays Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan portrays Lankesh in this collaboration between T-Series and Retrophiles. Directed by Om Raut, the movie is being filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages. Once completed, it will be distributed in fifteen different languages. This mythological film is not only one of the most expensive Indian productions but also one of the costliest ever made.

According to the producers of the pictures, Adipurush is based on the Indian epic Ramayana, written by Valmiki, which depicts the triumph of good over evil. Lord Ram, known as Adi Purusha in Hindu mythology, will be portrayed by Prabhas, while Saif Ali Khan will play the role of the antagonist, Lankesh. Currently, Kriti Sanon is portraying a character in the film.

Adipurush, the highly anticipated film, is set to premiere in cinemas on June 16th. The production of the movie was completed in November 2021, but it faced two postponements. Initially, it was slated for release on August 11, 2022. However, the shooting schedule was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a delay in the film's release.
