Dasara review: A Potpourri of Regional Cinema with a Blend of Genres

Dasara is a unique potpourri of regional cinema, with a blend of genres that will appeal to the masses. The film has been made with an eye on the youth and their taste for masala movies. The success of Dasara depends on how it fares at the box office, but it has all the right ingredients to become one of those films that people talk about for years to come.

Plot Summary

The film is set in Veerlapally, a small town in Telangana. The story revolves around three main characters - Surya (played by Nandu), Raja (played by Jeeva) and Radha (played by Shraddha). Surya works as a driver at Singareni coal mines and falls in love with Radha who is his boss's daughter. Raja also loves Radha but she doesn't reciprocate his feelings because she considers him inferior to her father's position.
The events take place against the backdrop of Singareni coal mines and how they affect people's lives

Performance

Nani plays an alcoholic vagabond, who is a part of a group of people trying to make money by selling meatballs made out of dog meat. His character's name is Nachimuthu and he lives in the suburbs with his wife (played by Swathi Reddy) and son Suri (Dheekshith Shetty). Keerthy Suresh plays Vennela, who has been working as an assistant director for many years but hasn't been able to make it big on her own yet. She decides to leave Chennai for Hyderabad in search of work where she meets Nachimuthu at an audition for Dasara movie directed by Samuthirakani and Tom Shine Chacko.
The film also stars Samuthirakani as a villainous role named Kattappa while Ravi Prakash plays another bad guy named Bhairava

Strengths of Dasara

If you are looking for a film that will make you laugh, cry and feel happy, then Dasara is the one for you. The movie revolves around three friends who live in a village called 'Dasara'. The friendship between these characters is very strong and they have been together since childhood. They go through all kinds of problems together but still remain friends till death do them apart!

The plot points include the dangers of alcohol (which lead to many deaths), village politics and caste discrimination against lower castes by higher castes in villages like ours which still exist today even though they should not exist anymore because there shouldn't be any difference between people based on their social status or color or religion etc., but unfortunately this happens every day all over our country India so we need more movies like Dasara where these issues are highlighted so that hopefully someday we can live peacefully without any differences among us

Weaknesses of Dasara

While the film does a good job of setting up its premise and exploring its characters, it also suffers from some weaknesses.
The first thing that comes to mind is that Dasara reminds viewers of too many other movies. The second is that there are logical inconsistencies in the screenplay and screenwriting struggles to resolve everything it has set up.

Standout Features

Dasara is a unique potpourri of regional cinema, where the director has taken inspiration from various sources. The film can be best described as an amalgamation of different genres like romance and thriller with elements of horror thrown in for good measure.

The director has also done well to keep the audience engaged by throwing in some interesting twists and turns throughout the film. The screenplay is tight, making it easy for viewers to follow along without getting lost at any point during its runtime of two hours and 20 minutes (excluding credits).
Sathyan Sooryan's camera work deserves special mention here because he has shot this movie beautifully; especially when we talk about scenes like those set inside temples or during night time sequences where darkness plays an important role in creating atmosphere but still manages not lose focus on what needs highlighting most - which is usually happening outside these places!
