Gumraah Full Story Explained
The movie "Gumraah" which was released in 2023, starts with a fight scene between two men. In this intense fight, one of the men is killed, and the murderer removes his evidence and runs away. Officer Shivani Mathur arrives to solve this mystery and begins her investigation by questioning the servants and others present at the crime scene. During her investigation, she finds out that the killer's name is Aakash, who came from America to start a new startup business and had taken a loan of ₹20 lakhs for this venture. She checks the CCTV camera footage, but it turns out to be faulty, and they couldn't get any leads from it. Amid all this questioning, a boy enters.
Here are some photos of your party. These photos are from the day when the murder of Aakash took place. In this photo, the person is not clearly visible, so Shivani showed the photo to her senior, ACP Yadav. He recognized the person in the photo and said his name is Arjun Seth. He is a civil engineer. Next, Shivani Mathur arrests Arjun. During questioning, ACP Yadav asks Arjun where he was at the time of the murder. Arjun says he was at the office party and left at 2:00 am. When asked what he was doing on Aakash's balcony, Arjun is speechless. ACP Yadav has had a previous conflict with Arjun, so he tells him he won't let him go this time. Later, outside, they see another person who looks just like Arjun. He had broken a signal and was driving drunk and had even hit a police officer. The police arrest him too. The resemblance between these two men is shocking and confusing.
Here, the constable tells him about a person named Ronnie, who is also Suraj Rana. The story goes back three months when we see Jam watching Arjun meet a girl named Janvi whom he starts to like a lot. They both talk to each other a lot and eventually fall in love. On the other hand, we also see Ronnie's backstory where he is shown robbing an ATM with his friend Chaddi. He comes to sell the notes to a dollar seller, who he informs him that there are approximately 20-24 lakhs rupees inside the ATM, but he doesn't know how to open it without damaging the notes. The seller doesn't believe him, so Ronnie shows him a news report about the robbery, which confirms the amount. The seller gives him an advance of 2 lakhs and tells him to bring the girl who can open the ATM the next day. However, before that can happen, Ronnie is caught when he tries to open the ATM and realizes that the notes inside are fake.
He calls Roni again today and tells her that it seems like you've received the wrong news. We don't believe you're correct. There was also a girl with us who was a news reporter. We met her yesterday, and she was part of the group that fooled people. The dollar has incurred so much loss; he tells him that he won't let him live. Both Cat and he enjoys spending money on her. On the other hand, we see that Arjun is very happy with his girlfriend. Her girlfriend tells him that her mother is looking for a boy for her, so she is going to Dubai to meet her mom. On the other side, Roni helps his friend Chaddi, who used to run a shop selling laptops and phones but used to commit fraud. He used to stick soap to the UNDP customers, but one customer caught him, and now the government has sealed his shop. He helps him and gets him out of trouble. They both were driving after drinking alcohol when suddenly Dollar catches them, and he hits his friend upside down...
Both of them resort to gambling to arrange the money but even there, their earnings are lost. Meanwhile, Arjun goes to meet his girlfriend Janvi who is going to Dubai to meet her mother. He tells her some of his habits and accepts that he wants to marry her. Now, Janvi leaves for Happy Dubai and after a few days, we see that Arjun's work is also settled and there is a party going on in the office where a conversation takes place that upsets him. We see a cut on his hand. On the other hand, we see that Roni also has a cut on his hand. This is where the two stories link up. Now the story comes back to the present where Shivani is questioning Roni about where he was last night. Meanwhile, ACP Yadav is trying to trap Arjun because he has a past problem with him. Officer Shivani has taken a photo of their injured hands and is trying to match it with a DNA contact but is unable to do so. The doctor calls from the left and informs that he has found a hair on Aakash's thumb which is not matching with any DNA contact and he says if the suspect...
The police department calls their dog, which sniffs out the suspects' clothes to help identify them. However, because the dog barks at both suspects, it is difficult to determine who the real culprit is. The officers try to find the killer of Aakash but cannot find any evidence. This frustrates ACP Yadav, who becomes agitated and even resorts to torturing Arjun to try and get him to confess. Meanwhile, Shivani Rani is also being tortured. She doesn't speak up, but instead tells a constable about a fan belonging to RP Yadav (ACP Yadav's daughter's lover) who helped them escape. The constable tells Shivani that the murderer has been caught and she is relieved. Shivani asks if the culprit is Arjun or Ronnie, but is shocked to hear that they weren't sent in for questioning. She explains that both suspects were with her and RP Yadav's daughter when Aakash was killed.
Here, Officer Shivani visits the forensic lab. The doctor tells her that these two are doing a DNA match, which can only happen when the humans are identical twins. Meanwhile, we see Arjun thinking of escaping from there. He could have succeeded in escaping, but he gets caught up, and Ronnie trips him up. Now these two see each other for the first time, and they start fighting. From here, we get to know their backstory. Actually, these two are twins and brothers. Here, they used to criticize each other a lot. Sometimes, Ron used to criticize Arjun, and sometimes Arjun used to criticize Ron. Here, we also get to know that their mom had a habit of playing gambling, which made their dad very worried. He thought that she wasn't taking care of their both sons. For this reason, he divorced his wife and took custody of both his children after fighting in court. After this, his wife committed suicide due to being upset, which made Ronnie quite upset too. He also starts playing gambling here and fights with his brother. In this way, their fight continues, and they grow up. Meanwhile, the entire police force keeps trying to gather evidence against them.
He goes home to meet him. The man says that he was playing cards in front of me all night. At first, he was losing, but then he won 25 lakhs after a while. Officer Shivani came with the daughter of the ACP to save Arjun. After hearing that Arjun was with them that day, ACP Yadav does not say anything because it is not someone else giving the statement but the daughter of the ACP herself. After that, both their testimonies go to court, where the judge also keeps them both at bay because they believe that in the pursuit of one criminal, we cannot punish an innocent person. Therefore, they want both of them to keep paying attention to this matter. Now both of them go out of the case. After a while, Officer Shivani finds out about it and the truth about Janvi's boyfriend comes out. They show that after the party, she went with a boy named Akash, who took her to his house and spiked her drink, and tried to assault her. After this incident, Arjun goes to take revenge on him and kills him. It was not someone else, but Arjun who committed the murder. Here we see that when he goes to meet Arjun...
So, he was just keeping an eye on the police here and there to support him. He had thrown his clothes only so that the dog wouldn't suspect him, and both of us looked like suspects after seeing the clothes. He deliberately got himself arrested so that the police would be confused.
